Laura Linney, born February 5, 1964 in New York, New York U.S.A. She is an American actress who is known for her portrayal of powerful, but fragile characters. Linney was raised in a theatre family her father was a playwright Romulus Linney. She earned a degree in Arts Theatre School, Moscow in the year 1986. She then completed an M.F.A. at Juilliard School. New York City. She began to perform on Broadway as soon as she arrived, and was later awarded praise for her performances in Six Degrees of Separation (Six Degrees of Separation) as well as Hedda Galer.
