Colson Kelly (aka Machine Gun Kelly) is a rapper with a distinct style. Baker was born in Houston in Texas on 22 April, 1990 into an German and English Scottish family. When he was a kid Baker spent a large amount of time travelling with his parents, who were missionaries. His dad James Colson Baker struggled with depression and unemployed and the mother Sonia Alane left them when the age of nine. Baker's father emigrated together with his son to Denver and the family lived at the aunt of his father. Baker received a lot of attention from other kids because of his poverty. When he reached sixth grade, Baker was able to learn the art of rap. Colson Baker, a.k.a as Machine Gun Kelly, was born in Texas on the 22nd of April 1990. In his music, he is known for his ability to mix hip-hop style modern with rock. Baker made four mixtapes in the period before joining Bad Boy Records between 2007-2010. With lyrics that are as fast of a train, this Cleveland rapper experienced a meteoric growth in the second half of 2011, when Baker made the switch from releasing self-released mixtapes, to signing with well-known label. His career took off after that, with each of his records making the top 10 of charts.
